We are not exempt from the Tempter’s snare. He lies and waits even for the most devout of all. Our upward call does not keep us from the traps, deceptions, distractions, and diversions, for they attend the way of purpose—Divine purpose. Jesus is our very present help and defense as we go. Hear His voice! “Resist the Devil and he will flee from you.” Jesus’ Words breaks down every stronghold and deception set for an ambush. Say it like Jesus did! “It is written!” Three times He spoke His Word with Authority and Power to vanquish His foe. Each trial marks our impending triumph, tests for a glorious testimony. Jesus too was in all points tempted as we are, yet He did not succumb to sin. Walk with Jesus! What sin keeps you from walking with Him? Lay it aside and journey along all the way. Tell Him about it. He knows the depth and every hidden compartment of your heart. Nothing is hidden that He cannot find. He is a friend of sinners. His grace is sufficient for you. He has provided strength for the journey. He is closer to you now, more than ever before. Tell Him about that struggle that has kept you bound. Release it now and be restored. Discern His presence. Make a choice to walk with Him all the way. He has triumphed over the Tempter’s snare, and He has made us victorious. He overcame Calvary’s Cross for us. There is a way of escape when temptations come. Look for it in Jesus. Confess to Him all of your sins & weaknesses. They have been defeated on the Cross. You win with Jesus! Conqueror!

Father, lead me day by day, ever in Your own sweet way. Teach me to be pure and true. Show me what I ought to do. When I’m tempted to do wrong, make me steadfast wise and strong.
