Walking with Jesus: Be Transformed

Reflection:

Do not conform to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Prove what is good, what is acceptable, and what is the perfect will of God. Be transformed in the spirit of your mind. Be like Jesus as you walk with Him all the way. Abandon the old and adorn the new then come walk with Jesus. Forsake all things and follow after Jesus. Turn away from your preoccupations and fix your eyes on Him. He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. This is the way to intimacy with Him. Be transformed! It means sacrifice. Begin by laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares. Mortify the deeds of the flesh; those actions that are contrary to holy living. Be transformed and emulate Jesus. Look to the cross. See our Jesus. He bore our sins. He became the atoning sacrifice; the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world. He took on sin for us and yet knew no sin. He was transformed into the vicarious sacrifice because of our sin so that we can be transformed into recipients of eternal life. His blood is the transforming agent that washes away all sin. The power of His blood transforms us into the righteousness of God. Jesus took what we had and gave us what He had. He took on our sin and gave us life. He died so that we can have life more abundantly. He rose with all Authority and Power to inspire our confidence to believe in Him. The established promise of His soon return inspires Kingdom expectation. This is our eternal hope. Be transformed! Put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Let the pure and free flowing fountain of His precious blood cleanse you from all sin. Be transformed! Let Him envelop you in the robe of His righteousness and His innocence. Be transformed! Walk in holy obedience to the will and the sanctifying Word of our God. Be transformed! Let the Holy Spirit inspire resilient faith in you and grant you His great grace as you seek to walk with Jesus, all the way.

Choose to change! Confess your sin! Commit to walk with Jesus all the way!

Prayer:

Lord, cleanse me from my sin by the power of your blood and Your sanctifying Word so that I may walk in the newness of life with you, all the way. May Your great grace be my sufficiency and Your strength be made perfect in my weaknesses. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
