Wait on the Lord

Wait on the Lord

Beloved, this is the word of the Lord for you today:

"But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint or become tired" - Isaiah 40:31 (AMPC)

Points of Reflections

Our attitude of faith in the Lord, will do three things as we wait on Him: 1) It will change our perspectives on things while we wait; 2) It will position us in faith and confidence to face every challenge while we wait; and then 3) It will sustain and confirm the promises of God to us until the day of our breakthrough [God's appointed time]!

Are you in a season of waiting? Are you feeling exhausted and about to give up? Is the noise around you almost overriding the promises of God for you? God wants you to know that He understands where you are today. He knows how you feel. He wants you to experience His Power and His ability to do for you, those things that you or others cannot do. Furthermore, He wants to develop in you the level of faith that will compliment what you are asking Him for. He wants you to mature in faith as you wait—Learning things about yourself and growing in a meaningful relationship with Him. God will give you grace in your waiting season!

You are in a season of expectation and revelation. Do not limit your expectations to temporal things, rather seek that which is eternal. So often we’ve limited our expectations to things of this world, when in fact, we should look to that which is eternal—That which is in Christ, who is our blessed hope and soon returning King. Here’s a better perspective: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33). God is the only One who can lift us up from those things that are mediocre [temporal], to the place of the miraculous [Kingdom Living]. Expect God to do the unexpected! Connect your faith to your expectations, and then believe God to respond according to His will for you. God will move when He sees active faith. “Without faith, it is impossible to please God…” (Heb. 11:6). Don’t limit your expectation to temporal things. Look beyond the temporal things of this world and seek first the Kingdom of God. Walk in righteousness! Perhaps you’ve been praying for something personal. God is still able to bring it to pass. But remember to put things in proper perspective. Set the right priorities. Remember, it’s Kingdom first, then everything else will fall in place. If you want to experience possibilities and potentials, be willing to celebrate Jesus in your seasons of impossibilities. God will sustain and confirm His promises to you as you wait. “For all the promises of God in Him, are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Cor. 1:20). As you wait, believe God for what you are unable to do, because He is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think. Wait in faith and in the grace that He supplies.

Almighty and Everlasting God, without you we realize that we can do nothing. By the power of the Holy Spirit, increase and inspire in us an attitude of faith and hope to believe you to work all things out in our lives, according to your will. Change our perspectives on life's situations, and then position us in faith and confidence to face every challenge. Recondition and posture us in faith as we wait for the manifestation of your promises to us. Empower and strengthen us, so that we may mount up on eagle’s wings, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. Bring us to the place of quiet rest as we wait on you. Grant us faith to believe you for favorable outcomes according to your will for us. Grant us grace to endure each season; hope to see beyond our present circumstances; confidence to advance; and power and strength to rise to meet that blessed day that you have appointed to reveal all things needful for us. Teach us how to wait on you. Then cause our will to align with your will for us, and order our steps so that we may always walk in your way. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
