Pastor Dr. H. Bill Coker

Pastor H. Bill Coker is the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Community Church in New Braunfels,Texas. He provides biblical, spiritual, pastoral and visionary leadership within the framework of the church’s overall vision, mission and purpose. He promotes spiritual health, growth and well-being for the congregation through sound biblical preaching and teaching, prayer, pastoral counseling and administration of the ordinances. He facilitates outreach and community relationships by providing spiritual care to Veterans and Local hospitals during visitations. In this capacity he provides intentional pastoral care and counseling to patients and their family members, ensuring sensitivity to the religious needs of many separate religious denominations and faith groups.

Dr. Bill Coker is the founder and facilitator for the Fountain of Life School of Ministry (FOLSOM), where he works in conjunction with the Oral Roberts University Bible Institute Program, to train ministers and laity who are discerning their call to ministry. This process of ministerial development can serve as a reasonable pathway to ministerial credentialing for ministers who have prayerfully discerned this sacred call to the Gospel ministry.
Dr. Coker is a Pastoral Caregiver and Counselor who goes above and beyond the call of ministry to ensure wholeness to broken hearts, the bewildered and those burdened by the issues of life. Relying on the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he helps others transition from brokenness to blessedness, woundedness to wholeness in Christ Jesus who gives us hope.

His academic accomplishments include, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque NM; the Master of Divinity degree from the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry, the Doctorate of Ministry degree with emphasis in Pastoral Care & Counseling, both from the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma; and the Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Dr. Coker also received Certified Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE—IV Units) and Family Wellness Instructor certification, through the Air Force Institute of Technology in conjunction with the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Belton Texas. He received intensive clinical training working with clients presenting with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), minor Traumatic Brain Injuries (mTBI) and those with similar diagnoses.

Pastor Coker is married to the former Donna Coleman. They have four children and four grandchildren. Their theme for ministry is: “Loving people where they are and allowing God to take them to where they need to be!”
